Choosing the word for 2012 and giveaway

I have been reading so much about picking a word for 2012 and sticking to it. It seems like such a commitment. But I have made so many changes these past couple of years I need to string everything together and really make a difference this year instead of sort of watching my world go by. A lot of time I feel like I am watching life happen to me instead of making it happen. My word was going to be positivity but I am already really positive so I have decided on making my word "ACTION" Taking action and using my positivity. Taking action to get my house in order, taking action to get new clients, taking action to make my studio a haven for all who come there, Action to become a better artist and teacher, action to be a better mother and wife. The list goes on and on..
At Quinn Creative she has awesome tips on how to chose and then put your word to "action" (see there it is again)

I would love to know your word and how you would like to use it.
Post a comment and Jan. 1st (or 2nd depending on the possible hangover) I will pull a name and send you one of my mini's

  1. Just like you sometimes it feels like I am watching my life go by.I believe I am spending way too much of my free time (which is little ) on the computer. SO I decided to use TIME as my chosen word. I am going to start tracking my time and see how I could better use it.. = ) Nice mini ....

  2. Yay! I'll play ;) I have decided on "artfully." I have been putting a lot of thought into this, and ideas are swirling around in my head for a vision board I want to make for 2012. Jen, I started to write out my thoughts about this word here, and it became so lengthy, I thought I'd better make it an entry on my own blog. (Haha!) So, I will say here that I want to live "artfully; on purpose." I want to start to bridge the gap between the way I see things in my head, and the way they really are. I have already begun, but, I have a long way to go. I am interested in seeing how my life looks by 2013!

Thanks for the entry to win one of your beautiful minis!

  3. I like the words that other people choose. For 2011, I chose Step Up, and it was a good reminder. For 2011, I'm choosing Let Go, intended for when I'm churning over other people's intentions. Just let it go and move on. It'll be a challenge for me, I overthink. And thanks for the link to my site!

  6. I have struggle with my weight/body image for my whole adult life and even at over 300 lbs I am finally at PEACE with my body. I have tried for years to change everything about myself and be enough to those around me and I am finally at PEACE knowing I am exactly where I need to be. I am choosing 2012 as my year of PEACE, accepting what life has given to me and knowing I am enough and right where I belong.

  7. i'm just like you. i feel like i need to take action instead of sit back by the sidelines. i have been making strides in my creative business, but i need to do more. my word is going to be motivation. i need to stay motivated to make art, market my work, find new ways to sell my work, get and stay organized, etc.

  8. Jennifer, such a clever gal. I am so grateful you shared this idea. I've been thinking and have decided my word is to be "minimize." We are missionaries (American) in Ukraine and someday we will leave here. I just like the whole minimalist idea and had already decided I would really start working on this. So keeping that word front and center will help me adapt this into my lifestyle. So many ways we can minimalize in life. Love those bright flower paintings of your, so cute. Happy New Year.
